Caring for our community

Dear Residents,

As we head into the summer months, the Board would like to take a moment to connect with all of you about caring for our community and keeping our shared spaces enjoyable and safe for everyone.

We’re incredibly fortunate to live in a neighborhood with great amenities—from our spa and pool to the firepit and gathering areas. These spaces are meant to bring us together, and it takes all of us working as a team to protect and maintain them.

Lately, we’ve seen a few challenges that we’d like your help addressing. For example, when bubbles or other substances are added to the jacuzzi, it unfortunately requires us to fully drain and treat the system, costing the Association around $1,000 each time. We know these situations may not come from a place of harm, but the impact affects everyone’s experience and our shared budget.

We’ve also noticed that some amenities are being used beyond their posted closing times. Just a reminder—the 10:00 PM closure time for the jacuzzi is in place to help ensure that residents who live near the pool and spa area receive the quiet time they deserve in the evenings. In order to support this and promote a peaceful environment for all, we are adding evening checks by security as a gentle enforcement measure.

We are currently exploring the option of installing security cameras near the firepit to help promote a safer environment—particularly as we consider turning the gas back on. This discussion follows recent safety concerns, including unsupervised use by younger residents. However, before we move forward with investing money to enhance safety measures, the Board may also explore alternative options regarding the future of this amenity altogether. As a reminder, residents who continue to disregard posted rules may receive violation notices, be subject to fines, and, when applicable, held responsible for any related damages or repair costs.

Please know we simply want to be transparent about the challenges we’re working to address that will carry an associated cost for all —and to ask for your continued partnership in keeping our community safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Thank you for doing your part.

Warmly,
The Board of Directors
