Building a Community That Cares!
Important Notices
Special Assessment Ballot Count Wednesday, February 11th
Thanks to the homeowners who attend our Town Hall Meeting to provide clarity on why the special assessment and ballot are necessary. Ballots are scheduled to be counted at the board meeting on Wednesday, February 11th. If you haven’t already done so, please mail yours by Thursday, February 5th to ensure it arrives in time.
Our community has a full coverage property damage policy for roughly $700,000, valid for one year.
Due to a statewide increase of insurance costs, the premium for this policy exceeds what we can budget from the monthly HOA dues.
As a result, a special assessment of $2,000 per address is required.
The HOA cannot bill a special assessment without majority homeowner approval.
If ballots aren’t returned, the Association will need to consider returning to a partial coverage insurance policy.
A copy of the presentation can be found here.
A recording of the presentation will be made available on the homeowners’ portal at www.ciranet.com
Tree Trimming
Please be advised that Park West Tree Care will be onsite January 27 through February 2 to complete scheduled tree trimming and removals throughout the community. Work will take place during normal business hours, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Intermittent noise is to be expected while work is in progress. Please observe No Parking signs posted on nearby trees and cones. Several spots must be kept clear for access to equipment and your safety.
A map of the trees scheduled to be removed can be found here.
Caring for Our Community
We’re incredibly fortunate to live in a neighborhood with great amenities—from our spa and pool to the firepit and gathering areas. These spaces are meant to bring us together, and it takes all of us working as a team to protect and maintain them. Lately, we’ve seen a few challenges at the jacuzzi and firepit that we’d like your help addressing. Click here to learn how you can help keep our community safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Public Safety Call to Action
Although the HOA is not responsible for city streets, we are aware that gas is being siphoned and vehicles are being broken into regularly. It’s inexcusable that the city has time to ticket vehicles on Boulderidge but not police it. The only way the Sheriff will continue to patrol Boulderidge is if dozens of residents regularly call the non-emergency number 858.565.5200 to request it. When a handful of the same people call, they don’t believe we have a legitimate problem. Please do your part and help us make Boulderidge a safe place to park!
About Us
At Laurel & Magnolia, we believe in the power of caring for our property and supporting our community. We’re committed to addressing important issues like neighborhood safety, construction management, property maintenance and insurance. Initially, we were simply volunteers, residents like you, dedicated to improving our neighborhood. In late 2023, we created this website to keep homeowners and renters informed and connected during a time of significant change when proactive involvement was crucial. Now, as your Board of Directors, officially elected in August 2024, we remain committed to our mission of fostering progress and enhancing our community's well-being through collaboration and support.
