Laurel AT&T Fiber Installation
Magnolia installation is via the electrical closets attached to each building, so no garage access is required.
The installation method below is HOA approved
even though a few feet of conduit are outside the building
conduit highlighted in purple to show path; actual conduit is ivory
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as this upgrade is brought to the community.
Step 1
AT&T runs fiber conduit from building’s utility panel to side of garage
*these few feet of conduit are approved to run outside
Step 2
Fiber conduit enters garage
Step 3
Fiber conduit spans garage interior above door
Step 4
Fiber enters neighboring garage
Step 5
Outlet cover installed in street facing room
Step 6
This will happen at a later date only if you opt to activate AT&T service. AT&T connects a router to tech panel inside primary bedroom closet.
Examples of prohibited AT&T outside conduit installation
o The outside installation shown below is how AT&T typically installs fiber.
o The HOA has architectural restrictions prohibiting conduit outside buildings but is permitting a few feet outside spanning the distance from the utility panel to the side of the garage
o The technicians currently installing fiber in Laurel know the method below is prohibited and have been instructed to install inside garages.
o If Laurel residents decline their October installation appointment but choose to get fiber at a later date, it is the residents’ responsibility to inform AT&T they must run fiber inside the garage using the method shown above.
o The example shown above in Step 1 is the only length of conduit that is permitted to run outside the home.
o If conduit is run across the face of the building as shown below during a future installation, it is homeowners’ responsibility to make necessary repairs at their own expense.
