Outdoor Lighting Upgrade Underway

‍ ‍

We are pleased to announce that our community's outdoor lighting upgrade project is scheduled to begin Friday, July 10, starting in Laurel.

‍ ‍

ProTec crews will be working throughout the community on the exterior light fixtures located at residents' front doors and garage areas. Please expect to see technicians working around your building during normal business hours.

‍ ‍

The project will be completed in two phases:‍ ‍

  • Phase 1: Installation will begin in Laurel and continue into the Magnolia homes closest to Laurel. Approximately 300 fixtures will be replaced during this phase.

  • Phase 2: Once the remaining fixtures arrive in the coming months, crews will return to complete the remaining Magnolia homes.

    ‍ ‍

What to Expect‍

  • Work is expected to be relatively quiet, although residents may hear some noise from drilling into stucco during fixture installation.

  • Work will flow sequentially starting on Sky Corral following the building map used during construction. Click here for map.

  • Once work is underway, we’ll have a better sense of timing.

‍ ‍

Important Information About Your New Lights‍ ‍

Magnolia Homes‍ ‍

  • Outdoor light fixtures are connected to photocell sensors and will continue to turn on automatically at dusk and off at dawn.

‍ ‍

Laurel Homes‍ ‍

  • Laurel buildings do not have photocell sensors. Instead, new dusk-to-dawn LED bulbs will be installed.

  • Please leave your exterior light switch in the ON position at all times. The new bulbs are designed to turn themselves on at dusk and off at dawn, but they will only function properly if the switch remains on.

  • These LED bulbs are highly energy efficient and should have little to no noticeable impact on your electricity usage.

‍ ‍

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we complete this community improvement project. These upgraded fixtures will improve safety, visibility and the overall appearance of our neighborhood.
